The other day my parents celebrated their 37th Anniversary, which I think is totally awesome!  We all know that love that lasts is hard to find in today’s world, and I’ve given it a lot of thought.

My thoughts on love can be summed up with a few special movie moments:

“Satine: Besides, I can’t fall in love with anyone
Christian: Can’t… fall… in love? But, a life without love, that’s… terrible…
Satine: No, being on the street, that’s terrible.
Christian: No! Love is like oxygen!
Satine: What?
Christian: Love is a many splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love!” (Moulin Rouge)

I believe that love is something that comes hard and stays long, love is like a fire that can be started easily, or take time.  Love makes us better than what we are.  In my minds eye, I see love as the inspiration for climbing a castle wall to rescue a damsel, and love being the reason to let her go.

I believe you can know from your heart when she’s the one.

As most remember from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty “We’ve met before, once upon a dream.” And in Cinderella, that feeling the prince gets when he realizes he found that ‘one’

But most of all, to know what enduring love is, one only has to look at my parents.

Love is patience, Love is fun, Love is exciting, Love is easy, Love is hard, Love is talking, Love is laughing, Love is adventure, Love is taking it easy, Love is the good stuff, Love is the bad, Love is rich, Love is poor, Love is worth the work, Love is together, Love is powerful, Love is pure, Love is real.

I believe in love!  (I also believe in Unicorns though)  Do you believe in love?
