Mangled Holiday Poem – I Love

Honestly, my mind isn't where it should be right now, and I can prove it by sharing with you a holiday poem that I've been creating through the day.  The rhyme scheme is simplistic, and the meaning gets lost in how cracked my mind can be some times.

I love the smell of Christmas, on fresh cut Christmas trees,

I love the smell of car seats, when just sprayed with Febreze,

I love the feeling of clothes, fresh out of the dryer,

I still remember being bad, and facing Mothers ire,

Christmas Presents that are unwrapped go back to Santa's sleigh,

Even though it can be hard, wait till Christmas Day,

Christmas lights are very cool,

And something I don't want for Christmas rhymes with the word school.

I learn things by being single sometimes… one thing that I learn on nights after nights like this is that I sometimes need to be the one to tell myself when I have to go to bed.
