Sometimes someone says something, and it takes you by surprise.  Today was one of those times.  I bought the girls a new set of outfits, and sometimes I like to have their outfits match.  Especially when we're going to a crowded mall where I will want to keep a close eye on them.

So I had them dress in these outfits:

Though they are dressed the same, it might surprise you to know that they are not twins.

As we were walking across the parking lot someone stopped us, and asked repeatedly "Are they twins?!?" Normally I love to be stopped while I'm crossing through places where cars drive (sarcasm) but this time, it took me by complete surprise… are my four and six year olds twins, they're wearing the same outfit? … … … My answer… though slightly delayed: "Of course, not fraternal or identical, but maybe that other kind."
