Metaphor – The Waltz

Life is full of metaphors and meaning.  One that has played a major role in my life is that of Dance.  In High School I spent years in ballroom learning how best to step on the toes of my partner, and how two people can move as one, and from that, and the personal study I've done since then I have come to a conclusion about the metaphor of the Waltz.

Two people come out onto the floor, their walk is individual and their show a flowery display of individuality… it is possible they came together, but not necessarily, they are a couple, but one might not say they are together.

Their hands touch, they come together, it's a greeting a meeting, a good hello.  They get to know each other, moving together gracefully over the floor; then with pride he opens up, showing off to the world this amazing women he met.  They combine again, and gracefully enjoy a partnership of synergistic grace.

Tuesday – About Me; New House

Continuing my jagged walk down memory lane.

We moved into the new house, I have a very vague memory that the house wasn't done when we moved in.  The part of the memory that sticks through to me is that the floor in my sisters room still had the holes that the kind of wood we used for the floor contained.  I remember losing a marble in one of those holes and that it didn't go all the way through, so that there's a part of me that believes it still must be there to this day.

There are a handful of memories from around this time, and just before.  In Provo there's a park with a small river stream going through it, and I remember walking barefoot through this on a summer day or two.

Summer movie began around this time, one of the local theaters… Sierra? Would do movies throughout the summer and I remember sitting glued through movies that I would have missed the first time around.
