A Walk on the Sun

I’m learning lessons I already knew, and some I could have figured out without a lot of thought.  The lesson that it’s hot in the desert.  (Yes, I may spend the next four months whining daily about that)  A new lesson is that  taking pictures during the day in the desert is near impossible… without shade, and it’s not like shade is growing on every … tree.  (it is a desert after all, ever look for shade under a pine tree?)

Bat Country

Once upon a time, we took a walk through a nature path next to a resort.  (Not really a resort we were staying in, but I had stayed there once, so it counted) And my daughter can now read… so she read a sign that said “Bats”  Which is as far as she read before she got this precious, anxious, look.

Bats!I had to explain, “No Love, they only come out at night, and you don’t need to worry about them, let’s read the rest of the sign.”
